Welcome! I'm a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) licensed in Ohio and Indiana. I received my Master's degree from Liberty University in 2011 and have been practicing for the past 12 years. My focus is relationship therapy, but I have journeyed with a wide variety of people, from adolescents to the elderlI entered this field later in life and it has gifted me the privilege of a broad perspective allowing me to embrace your perspective with dignity and grace.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will have a conversation. I will learn about you and you will be free to ask questions about me. As we set the tone of discovery, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve from our time together. At the end of our first session, we will have a general plan that we will review during the next session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I entered this field later in life and it has gifted me the privilege of a broad perspective allowing me to embrace your perspective with dignity and grace.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

On our journey together, DBT gives us insight into how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. With practice, clients discover why they do what they do, decide if that is the outcome they want, and make changes to achieve the outcomes they desire.

Couples Counseling

Drs. John and Julie Gottman are two of the most well-respected practitioners in relationship counseling. It has been said Dr. John Gottman can predict if a couple will divorce with about 94% accuracy. As a facilitator of Gottman's The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, I am confident we can improve your relationship satisfaction.

Christian Counseling

As a Graduate of Liberty University's MFT program, I have a strong biblical worldview with a solid background in the many theoretical schools of therapy. Our journey will be a wonderfully powerful connection of theology and therapy that will utilize your Christian principles to help strengthen your mental health.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

As a person of color, cultural sensitivity is a special area of interest. With post-graduate certificates in MFT and Couples disciplines, I am uniquely qualified to journey with couples who are people of color, in interracial relationships, in intercultural relationships, or have identified other cultural issues as challenging to the relationship.
