I am a Mexican American, first generation Licensed Clinical Social Worker and bilingual therapist offering services in both English and Spanish. My practice is centered on supporting young adults, adults, and older adults in a warm, culturally affirming, and trauma informed environment. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, family and relationship stress, and emotional challenges while building insight, resilience, and practical coping skills. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered in your healing journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first few sessions will focus on getting to know you and completing the assessment process. I may ask questions and use questionnaires to better understand your situation, symptoms, strengths, and goals. These sessions may feel more structured than traditional therapy, but they help us work together to create a personalized treatment plan that supports your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring compassion, cultural awareness, and a trauma informed approach to my sessions. As a Mexican American, first generation, bilingual therapist, I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported. My approach stands out because I combine warmth with practical tools, helping clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and work toward healing in a way that feels collaborative and personalized.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve young adults, adults, and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, family stress, caregiving responsibilities, and relationship challenges. I work well with clients who are seeking a safe, culturally affirming space to better understand themselves, build coping skills, and feel more grounded in their healing journey. My goal is to support clients in gaining insight, strengthening resilience, and moving toward emotional balance at their own pace.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients process distressing experiences that may still feel emotionally overwhelming or triggering. EMDR helps the brain work through painful memories so they feel less intense and have less control over the present. Before beginning this work, I focus on building coping skills and grounding tools so clients feel safe, supported, and prepared throughout the process.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, challenge negative thoughts, and build practical coping skills that clients can use in everyday life. The goal is to help clients feel more aware, balanced, and empowered in how they respond to challenges.

Grief Therapy

I use grief therapy to help clients process loss in a safe and supportive space. Grief can bring many emotions, including sadness, anger, guilt, numbness, or confusion. Together, we explore how the loss is affecting your life, honor your experience, and work toward finding comfort, meaning, and healing at your own pace.
