(she/her)
Hello! My name is Nailah Wilder and I am so happy that you found me. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California, with more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief & loss, anger and stress management, parenting challenges, ADHD, life changes and adoption-related issues to name a few. I understand the importance of acknowledging everyone's individuality and that there is no one size fits all approach to therapy. It is my goal to meet you where you are and create a safe space to support your needs. I believe in supporting clients through the process of gaining insight into their challenges and collaboratively identifying practical tools and techniques for utilization to confidently make desired life changes.
In our first session, my focus will be on getting to know you, your story, what’s bringing you to therapy, and what you hope to get out of our work together. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your experiences, but there’s no pressure; you can share at your own pace. Together, we’ll begin to outline goals that feel meaningful and manageable for you.
I utilize principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution-Focused, Short Term Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems and Narrative Therapy to assist clients in achieving their goals.
My biggest strengths are connecting with people, meeting them where they are and creating a plan to get them to where they want to be. I have extensive experience working with adolescents, adults and families on addressing symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, life changes and adoption-related challenges.
