(she/her)
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience and hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from Barry University. I provide therapy for individuals across the lifespan—from toddlers to adults—who are navigating psychological, emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. I work with clients experiencing depression, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, anxiety, feelings of doubt or disconnection, and those who are adjusting to major life transitions. I also support individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma or are struggling with overwhelming stress.
In your first session, you can expect a gentle introduction where you’re invited to share a bit about yourself and what brought you to therapy. I’ll move at your pace and create a safe, supportive space where you can feel comfortable being open. This is your time and your space—I’m here to listen, support, and walk with you through each step of the process. We’ll also talk about what you hope to gain from therapy, so we can start working toward those goals together.
I’m here not only to listen, but to educate, support, and challenge you. I’ll help you understand your patterns, face what feels difficult, and grow beyond what you thought was possible. You’re in the lead—I’m here to walk with you on your journey.
My I work with clients who are experiencing depression, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, or feelings of doubt and uncertainty. Many of the individuals I support may feel lost, overwhelmed, or are navigating a difficult life transition. I also work with those who have experienced trauma or are struggling with anxiety and adjustment challenges. Whatever you're facing, you're not alone—and support is available.
I have many years of experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment approach that helps clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected. Sometimes, our thoughts can make us feel worse or lead us to act in ways that aren't helpful. With CBT, we work together to: Identify unhelpful or negative thoughts Understand how those thoughts impact your emotions and actions Practice new, healthier ways of thinking and responding to life’s challenges This approach is practical, supportive, and focused on helping you feel better and build lasting coping skills.
With collaboration from the client, I use strength-based approaches to help identify personal strengths, abilities, and resources. Together, we explore past successes, talents, values, support systems, and coping skills. By shifting the focus from problems to potential, we work on reframing your story—empowering you to grow, heal, and become the best version of yourself.
I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support children, adolescents, and their caregivers in healing from the effects of trauma. This approach combines trauma-sensitive care with proven cognitive-behavioral techniques. By involving both the child and their caregiver, TF-CBT helps reduce symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges, while also strengthening coping skills and family support.
I use Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients recognize their own potential and build on what’s already working in their lives. Focusing only on problems can sometimes make it harder to move forward. With this approach, we shift attention to what is going well, so we can use those strengths and successes to create positive, lasting change.
I use this treatment method to help clients explore and and resolve ambivalence about change. Sometimes we’re unsure or resistant about making a life change—like stopping a harmful behavior, starting therapy, or working toward a goal. And that’s okay! In therapy I will support your motivation and readiness to change.
