Hi! I am Dr. Saba, DNP, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I received my Master's from Walden University and my Doctoral from Grand Canyon University. I have been practicing for over four years. I help clients with mental health concerns manage their symptoms and live beyond the effects of mental health challenges. In our first meeting, we thoroughly assess, diagnose, and evaluate, bringing up specific challenges you face. We will then create a tailored assessment and plan to work through it in follow-up sessions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

At Seeds of Hope Behavioral Health, we provide therapeutic connections with our clients to help improve stability, self-sufficiency, and productive lifestyle. We see our clients as individuals first, not their illnesses. Many of my clients have described me as using the "head and heart connections."

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We'll be using a combination of approaches, primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Think of them as tools in a toolbox, each helping us understand and address different aspects of your experience. We'll work together to identify those recurring thoughts, especially the ones that might be causing you distress. We'll examine if these thoughts are completely accurate or if there might be other ways of looking at the situation. For example, if you think, 'I always mess things up,' we'll explore the evidence for that and see if there are times you've succeeded.

Motivational Interviewing

This is about exploring your own reasons for wanting to change and building your confidence in your ability to do so. How it works: We'll have conversations where we explore your goals and values. We'll look at any ambivalence you might be feeling about change, and we'll work together to identify your strengths and resources. Mindfulness-Based Therapy

This is about paying attention to the present moment, without judgment. It's like learning to observe your thoughts and feelings as if they were clouds passing by in the sky. Mindfulness can help you reduce reactivity to difficult emotions and increase your ability to manage stress. It creates a space between you and your thoughts, so they don't feel so overwhelming.
