My name is Nancy! As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I envision a world where all individuals facing mental health challenges receive quality, uninterrupted, and holistic care. I am dual-certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, which allows me to integrate a comprehensive understanding of physical and mental health into my practice. However, my primary focus and passion remain in mental health care. I am committed to providing care that truly makes a difference. I do not endorse a “one glove fits all” approach, as every individual is unique with their own challenges and life experiences. Therefore, we will partner together to develop a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs, goals, and expectations. I work collaboratively with each patient to create an individualized plan that may include therapy, medication management, and meaningful lifestyle changes. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and open communication. My goal is to foster a therapeutic space built on trust and authenticity. I believe meaningful progress begins with feeling genuinely heard and understood. Together, we will explore patterns, stressors, and strengths, gain insight into factors influencing your mental health, and establish practical steps that align with your values and support long-term well-being.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect to begin developing a clearer understanding of your mental health condition, including the potential causes and contributing factors. From the start, our work together will focus on providing clarity, support, and empowerment so you can take an active role in your care and begin making lifestyle changes that promote your overall mental well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to care centers on partnership, transparency, and helping clients recognize their own strengths. I strive to cultivate an atmosphere that feels respectful, reassuring, and open, where individuals feel comfortable sharing their experiences and gaining deeper understanding of their symptoms, patterns of thinking, and behaviors. As a PMHNP, I bring experience across a range of clinical environments. I have practiced in multiple outpatient settings, supporting patients with diverse psychiatric diagnoses and complex clinical needs. I provide care exclusively through Telehealth, allowing for accessible, flexible treatment that meets clients in the comfort and privacy of their own environment. My practice integrates evidence-based interventions with personalized treatment planning. In addition to addressing symptom relief, I focus on identifying contributing factors and encouraging practical lifestyle adjustments that support long-term stability. Working in fast-paced and high-demand settings has strengthened my ability to build rapport efficiently, conduct thorough evaluations, and create structured, goal-directed treatment plans. Ultimately, my goal is to support sustainable progress by equipping clients with the insight, coping strategies, and confidence needed to take an active and informed role in their mental health and overall wellness.

I also have experience helping clients manage mood disorders, relationship challenges, and trauma. My style is warm, collaborative, and individualized, focused on developing practical tools while supporting meaningful, lasting growth and healing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, understand how their thoughts influence emotions and behaviors, and build healthier, more effective coping skills. When appropriate, I integrate CBT with medication management to support symptom relief and promote long-term emotional stability. I strive to create a collaborative, supportive environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and motivated to make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives.

Psychoeducation

I incorporate psychoeducation as a core component of treatment to help clients gain a clearer understanding of their mental health conditions, symptoms, and available treatment options. I provide education on diagnoses, medication benefits and potential side effects, coping strategies, triggers, and lifestyle factors that influence emotional well-being. By fostering insight and awareness, clients are better able to identify patterns, participate actively in treatment decisions, and develop effective skills to manage their symptoms. My goal is to empower clients with knowledge so they feel confident, informed, and engaged in their mental health care

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy to help clients develop nonjudgmental awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations. Using techniques such as grounding, breathing exercises, body scans, and guided practices, I support emotional regulation, anxiety reduction, stress management, and insight into behavioral patterns. Mindfulness is integrated with evidence-based approaches to strengthen coping skills, self-awareness, and resilience.
