(he/him)
I'm an experienced Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. With a broad range of experience spanning more than two decades, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the therapeutic relationship. My academic background includes a Master's degree from North Carolina Central University and a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University. I specialize in assisting both adults and young adults with life transitions, interpersonal relationships, and the achievement of personal goals.
Clients can expect to feel heard, supported, and challenged in a safe and respectful space.
As a therapist, my strengths lie my authenticity, attentive listening, self-awareness, empathy, openness, honesty, relatability, effective communication, comprehension of complexity, rapport building, and solution-focused techniques.
I am well-positioned to serve clients who are engaged, open-minded, reflective, committed, collaborative, self-motivated, honest, resilient, empowered, and insightful.
Eclectic
Eclectic Therapy is an approach to therapy that combines the most relevant techniques from other evidence-based therapy modalities to create an effective and personalized treatment plan. I believe that each client is unique and has unique therapy needs. By using an Eclectic approach, I can design a treatment plan that is adaptable, accommodating, and comfortable.
