Lana Beal
Welcome. I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping adults navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and clarity. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and postpartum mental health concerns, and I understand how overwhelming it can feel when symptoms begin affecting your relationships, work, parenting, or daily life. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and personalized. I believe that effective mental health care starts with feeling heard and understood. Together, we'll develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs, which may include medication management, education, and practical strategies to help you feel more balanced and in control. Whether you're struggling with constant worry, difficulty focusing, low motivation, burnout, or adjusting to the demands of pregnancy and parenthood, my goal is to help you find relief, build resilience, and create lasting improvements in your overall well-being.
First session
Starting mental health treatment can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to make the process as comfortable and supportive as possible. During our first appointment, we'll take time to discuss what brought you to treatment, your current symptoms, personal goals, medical and mental health history, and any previous experiences with therapy or medication. This is a judgment-free space where you can openly share your concerns and ask questions. Together, we'll explore what's working, what's not, and develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. If medication is appropriate, we'll discuss options, potential benefits, and possible side effects so you can make informed decisions about your care. By the end of our session, you'll have a clearer understanding of your symptoms, a plan for moving forward, and support every step of the way. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about your path toward improved mental wellness.
Strengths
I believe the foundation of effective mental health care is a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion, and collaboration. My clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and easy to talk to. I take the time to truly listen, understand your unique experiences, and create a treatment plan that aligns with your goals and values. What sets my approach apart is my focus on personalized, evidence-based care that combines medication management with practical strategies to support lasting improvement. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work closely with each client to understand the whole person, not just their symptoms. I provide education, support, and tools that empower clients to better understand their mental health and actively participate in their treatment. I am passionate about helping adults navigate mental health concerns, and life transitions. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and confident in your path toward greater well-being.
Ideal clients
I am best positioned to serve adults ages 18–64 who are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, postpartum mental health concerns, stress, burnout, and life transitions. Many of my clients are motivated to better understand their symptoms, improve daily functioning, and develop effective strategies to manage their mental health. I work well with individuals who feel overwhelmed, struggle with focus and organization, experience persistent worry or low mood, or are navigating the emotional challenges of pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, parenthood, work-life balance, and changing life circumstances. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and goal-oriented. I partner with clients to create personalized treatment plans that may include medication management, education, and practical coping strategies. Together, we focus on reducing symptoms, building resilience, improving emotional well-being, and helping clients achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in their quality of life.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I incorporate CBT-based strategies to help patients identify barriers to wellness, challenge negative thought patterns, improve coping skills, and develop healthier habits. My goal is to provide practical tools that empower patients to make sustainable changes while optimizing treatment outcomes.
