LICSW, 32 years of experience
Hello! My name is Michael Yuille, and I am an LICSW practicing in Massachusetts (primarily in the Boston, South Shore, Cape Cod area). Welcome! I provide a no-fee initial meet and greet session for prospective clients, because I believe a "good fit" is essential to effective counselling, and this first meeting allows you to determine that. I will also assist you in finding alternative supports that best meet your needs if that is your wish. I also accept a small number of sliding scale clients based on availability.
What inspires me is my ability to quickly provide people with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to heal/thrive. I have degrees in developmental psychology, philosophy, and an MSW in clinical social work. I have been a practicum supervisor with the William Glasser Institute since 1993. I look forward to working with you when you are ready to begin.
I find the use of pragmatic, evidence-based, approaches, and various wisdom traditions to be most helpful to the individuals and groups I work with. However, the core of my success in this work has always been the ability to establish the kind of relationship that enables people to successfully craft their own unique path to health and well-being. I look forward to meeting you!

I’ve had too many therapists to think about. Michael is different, he is a great match for me because he is so different from me yet he’s so gifted he can and does see anyone’s perspective and can help you unpack and identify the unhealthy habits as he finds them and then suggests books and resources that help me to go do the work to form new habits that replace the unhealthy ones.
