I'm a licensed therapist with over 10 years in the mental health field. I gained my therapeutic skills as a school counselor, school based mental health clinician, and private practice work. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and families on issues of depression, anxiety, ADHD, parenting, adjustments/transitions, and other mental health concerns. I'm here to help my clients meet their goals by providing a safe and non-judgmental environment where they feel respected and accepted.
Clients can expect to take away new insights and greater self-awareness. Clients can also expect to develop the skills and tools necessary to create desired change and find lasting solutions to their concerns. Ultimately, my goal is to help clients reach their full potential and enjoy a greater sense of satisfaction in their lives
My approach to therapy is informed by cognitive-behavioral theories. I strive to create a safe and caring environment in which clients can feel comfortable exploring thoughts and feelings. In this space, I aim to help clients work through their blocks and obstacles, and develop the necessary skills to lead a fulfilling life. I also believe in the power of collaboration, in which we co-create individualized treatment plans tailored to each person’s unique needs.
I have experience counseling children, adolescents, and families on issues of depression, anxiety, behavioral concerns, ADHD, parenting, adjustments/transitions, and other mental health concerns. I am a Certified Resiliency Educator and Certified Autism Specialist. I am trained in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Youth Mental Health First Aid. I take a family-centered approach to involve working with parents on how to better support the whole child. I also work with women, providing a safe and supportive space to process and articulate their feelings, empowering them to navigate life transitions, interpersonal relationships, and personal growth. The therapeutic journey can be deeply transformative, as therapists facilitate healing from traumas and advocate for self-determination, witnessing women reclaim their strength and agency.
CBT is used to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. CBT is then used to change your mindset, which can help reduce anxiety and stress in your life.
