Hi, I'm Alejandra! I'm a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California offering services in both English and Spanish. I earned my bachelor's degree from Whittier College and my master's degree from California State University Long Beach. I help individuals find relief from anxiety, depression, and past trauma. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths based, and grounded in compassion. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but I am committed to helping you feel comfortable and supported.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then I'll ask some questions to better understand what's bringing you to therapy and what you are hoping to get out of therapy. You are welcomed to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. This is a safe and judgement-free space. I will answer any questions you might have and talk about what our future sessions will look like. Most importantly, this session is about building trust and making sure you feel heard.
As a therapist, my greatest strength is being able to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and safe to be themselves. I am attuned to my clients' emotional needs and use a trauma-informed, compassionate approach to meet them where they are. I help clients recognize their inner strengths in order to feel more confident navigating life's challenges.
I love working with adolescents and young adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My clients are eager to grow, heal, and gain self-awareness however, may feel overwhelmed , stuck, or disconnected. I offer a safe space where they can feel supported and empowered to move forward.
I utilize CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthy coping strategies, and build emotional resilience.
I utilize Neurofeedback to help client's regulate their nervous system and enhance emotional wellbeing through brain training.
I utilize TF-CBT to help clients reduce trauma related symptoms, strengthen emotional resilience, and restore a sense of safety.
