Hey there, my name is Chelsea and it's nice to meet you :) I've been obsessed with learning about the mind, body and spirit since I was nineteen years old, and it has been my souls work to become a therapist and be able to support others as we move through this crazy, wild world. I welcome you here fully, and am grateful for the opportunity to assist you in whatever mission of healing you might be on.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

You can expect to feel encompassed in genuine, authentic care, with a person that is deeply listening to what you are saying. There is nothing worse than not feeling listened to when you are taking the leap of expressing tender, vulnerable topics, and I take it seriously to provide a space where you feel respected, and appreciated. I'm a very curious and playful person, and will be inquiring into you on multiple levels to ensure I am getting a comprehensive picture of who you are, how you're existing now, and how you'd like to exist in the future.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My youthful questioning spirit, humility and willingness to learn create a space of openness and human-ness where healing becomes possible. I create safety in transition and focus on building inner foundations, strengthening your sense of home, stability and belonging. I help heal isolation and remind you that you don't have to "arrive" to feel worthy-- we honor the messy middle here. I will help you build transformative awareness, curiosity and insight into yourself while grounding the information with practical tools and evidence-based treatment that reprograms the brain and creates sparks of renewal.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Are you going through a massive life transition that is paralyzing you with fear? Are you overwhelmed by the intensity and magnitude of your thoughts/ emotions and struggle to feel like you can trust yourself? Are you realizing that lots of the behaviors you're engaging in aren't working to support you in living a life that feels connected and anchored in purpose? I can help you with this, especially as someone who walks the path of healing myself and understands the complexity and non-linear nature of what it's really like to grow and heal from deep-seeded issues. I enjoy supporting those who are struggling with anxiety, OCD, low self esteem and shame, chronic health issues, and more. You don't have to deal with all of this stuff by yourself--help exists, and I would be honored to show that to you.

My treatment methods

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I use ERP to help you access your capacity to expand beyond your fear-- and to recognize the truth: that that your habituated, intrusive, negative thoughts are not to be trusted, and can be overcome through re-training your brain. I have helped many people re-claim their inner power that has been stolen from them by anxiety, OCD and other perpetual fears through making new, gradual choices that build into a brand new opportunity for experiencing your life. Welcome to the journey of learning to accept uncertainty, reduce the reactivity of your base programming, and embrace the endless possibilities that exist in your reality--- not just the worst ones.

Brainspotting

Over the past six months I have begun to practice Brainspotting and am on the journey towards certification due to being awe-struck by this method's capacity to support enduring transformation of the mind body and spirit. In Brainspotting, I use your eye position to access what you can think of as 'files' of trauma in the brain that got stored but were never fully closed. Instead of forcing you to retell the story, we locate where your system holds it and using mindfulness techniques, give your brain space to finish processing it—at your pace. You don’t have to perform or ‘get it right.’ You might notice body sensations, emotions, images, memories, or nothing at first—and all of that is okay. My job is to help you stay connected, supported, and regulated while your brain does the deeper work.
