About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor in the state of Texas. I have been practicing therapy for approximately 11 years. I believe in treating everyone with respect, empathy, and compassion. It is important to me that therapy is tailored for each individual and that you are able to have a say in your own treatment planning. It takes courage to make changes in your life and I am here to support and empower you in your journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will introduce ourselves. The majority of the time will be spent learnings about you, your past, what brought you into therapy, and what changes you would like to make.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to connect with others and ensure a safe environment free from judgment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with clients who have struggled with depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc. These clients want to change but many times like the tools to help themselves do so. I love supporting and empowering my clients to become better versions of themselves.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

This therapy uses mindfulness activities as well as acceptance and commitment to new behaviors to help with positive changes.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this treatment method the most frequently as it has been shown to help with a variety of patient concerns. This technique is effective when treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, and substance use disorders to name a few.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

CPT is used to treat trauma. This treatment is a form of CBT and typically last about 12 sessions. CPT will help those with trauma identify how traumatic events have changed their views of themselves, the world around them, and others. Patients are taught to change unhelpful thinking patterns that are increasing symptoms.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy

Prolonged Exposure Therapy is another therapy that is effective in treating trauma. This therapy is structured and consists of about 6 or more sessions (depending on the patient's needs).

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a technique that assumes patients have the ability to change (which you absolutely do!!). We explore what is important to you and how to make sustainable changes.
