New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who’s passionate about helping people create lives they actually love and enjoy. In therapy, I focus on helping you figure out what’s getting in the way and how we can bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be in life. I've worked with children, teens, adults, and families, and have experience in outpatient therapy, middle and high school settings, and intensive outpatient programs. My experience with different populations and within different settings has shown me that challenges exist within every stage of life, and people can benefit from a steady, collaborative therapeutic space that helps them make sense of what they’re going through and move forward.
Our first session will include reviewing confidentiality, what you can expect from therapy, and exploring what brings you to therapy & what you’re hoping to get out of it. And if you have no clue yet, that's okay, too!! Part of my job is helping you figure out what your goals are. I place a strong emphasis on my therapeutic relationship with you and creating a space that feels comfortable and low-pressure. Taking the step to begin therapy is a huge commendment to begin with, so I take the time to honor that and meet you where you're at.
What sets me apart as a therapist is the warm, authentic, and real presence I bring into the therapy space. I absolutely want you to feel like you can show up as all of the versions of yourself- the worst of days, the best of days, and remember that we are human. I like to incorporate lightheardness and joke when it feels right, to remind you, too, that I'm human. I take a strengths-based approach, helping clients identify and build on what already exists within them to support growth and resilience. As a client, I want to help you reconnect with what makes you YOU! My current focus is working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship and family concerns, self-esteem challenges, grief, any significant life transitions, and other stressors that may impact their emotional well-being and functioning. No challenge is too small to face together and I look forward to working with you in this space.
I work best with clients navigating mild to moderate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem concerns, and family or relationship conflict. Many of the individuals I support are managing a combination of stressors—feeling overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or struggling to balance responsibilities while coping with difficult emotions. My ideal clients are those who are ready to explore these challenges with curiosity and openness. They may not have everything figured out, but they are willing to reflect, learn, and gradually apply new skills between sessions. I work well with individuals who are motivated for change and open to engaging in a collaborative therapeutic process. In our work together, I focus on building a supportive, nonjudgmental space while also helping clients develop practical tools to better manage emotions, improve self-esteem, strengthen relationships, and increase overall functioning. I aim to help clients gain insight, shift patterns that are no longer serving them, and feel more confident in navigating their lives.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support children, adolescents, and adults in navigating life’s challenges with greater flexibility and intention. I help clients clarify their personal values and explore how their current choices align with the life they want to live. Using tools like the Bullseye exercise and thoughtful, reflective questions, I work with clients to build insight, resilience, and meaningful, values-driven change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my work with children, adolescents, and adults, especially those struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, and negative core beliefs. I help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors using tools like the cognitive triangle. Together, we identify and challenge cognitive distortions, examine evidence for and against unhelpful thoughts, and explore the likelihood of feared outcomes. I also support clients in uncovering and reframing negative core beliefs, while building more balanced, compassionate self-talk to promote lasting change.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) primarily with children and adolescents ages 6–18 who have experienced trauma or significant life stressors. My approach focuses on helping young clients build coping skills, process difficult experiences in a safe and supportive way, and reduce trauma-related symptoms. I incorporate developmentally appropriate strategies such as psychoeducation, relaxation skills, and gradual exposure, while also supporting caregivers in understanding and responding to their child’s needs. Through this work, I aim to help clients feel more secure, build resilience, and regain a sense of confidence and stability.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in my work with adolescents and adults who may be struggling with depression, self-harm urges or history, suicidal ideation, and challenges with emotional regulation. I focus on teaching practical, evidence-based skills rooted in DBT’s core areas, including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. My approach emphasizes building awareness, increasing coping capacity, and helping clients navigate intense emotions in healthier, more balanced ways, while strengthening relationships and a sense of stability.
Strength-Based
I use a strengths-based approach in my work with children, adolescents, and adults, focusing on identifying and building upon each client’s existing skills, resilience, and inner resources. I help clients recognize their strengths and use them as a foundation for growth, increased confidence, and problem-solving. By shifting the focus from deficits to capabilities, I support clients in developing a more empowered and balanced view of themselves while working toward meaningful, achievable goals.
