Dawnn Guray
Hello there! Whether you're seeking clarity, healing, or simply a space to be heard, you're in the right place. You may find yourself repeating painful patterns, struggling in relationships, or feeling disconnected from who you are. Together, we'll explore what's beneath these challenges, gain insight into what keeps you stuck, and create meaningful, lasting change in a compassionate, collaborative space.
First session
Think of our first session as a conversation. I'll learn about your concerns, past treatments, and what life would look like if therapy were successful. The first 1-2 sessions may focus on getting to know your background and a start to building our therapeutic relationship. You'll also have time to ask questions and make sure we're a good fit!
Strengths
We create a compassionate space where you can embrace vulnerability, build self-acceptance, explore the beliefs that influence your life, gain deeper insight, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Ideal clients
I work with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, and difficulties with boundaries, communication, and self-worth. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and driven but struggle with overthinking, people-pleasing, or pressure from family, cultural or corportate expectations. Together, we'll build healthier coping skills, greater self-awareness, and more fulfilling relationships while creating meaningful, lasting change.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Together, we'll identify thoughts that may be keeping you stuck, reframe them with compassion, and practice healthier ways of responding to life's challenges.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I help you become less stuck in difficult thoughts, stay grounded in the present, and take small, meaningful actions that reflect your values and the person you want to be.
Compassion-Focused
We'll explore how to treat yourself with the same compassion you show others, helping you build confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of self-worth.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I teach practical skills to help you pause before reacting, manage intense emotions, stay present, and approach challenges with greater flexibility and balance.
Strength-Based
I believe you already have many of the strengths needed for change. Together, we'll uncover those strengths, build confidence, and use them to navigate life's challenges.
