Hello! I am a licensed therapist who values a strong therapeutic relationship. I use authenticity, warmth, and acceptance to ensure my clients feel comfortable and empowered to improve their well-being. In addition to building a strong therapeutic relationship, I also strongly value each person's own unique experience and abilities. I love using creativity to find interventions that best fit my clients, encourage reflection, and improve resilience.
The first session will be a time for us to get to know each other. I'll ask you about what you're hoping to get out of therapy, what brings you to therapy, and I will welcome any questions you might have about my style or treatment methods. We'll also brainstorm how we can work together to reach your goals. Most importantly, we'll begin to develop a foundation of trust and respect that will anchor our future sessions.
I use creative approaches to fit each client's unique needs and wishes. I help clients contain their feelings and move forward so they feel less burdened and more fulfilled.
My ideal clients are children, adolescents, or seniors who are struggling with anxiety, depression, or life transitions and are motivated to change. If you're not sure if this fits you, please feel free to message me. I'm happy to answer any questions and look forward to hearing from you.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I've used this approach with adolescents in alternative education. It involves helping clients accept their current situation and identify how to move forward in a way that aligns with their unique values.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I help clients identify and change dysfunctional thought and behavior patterns.
Motivational Interviewing
I collaborate with clients to help them realize their potential for change, address ambivalence, and enhance their motivation. I frequently use this approach with teens or when time is limited.
Humanistic
The humanistic approach is central to my work. I believe most people have a desire to grow and are able to change. I view clients as the experts of their experience and guide them toward change. I also use this approach to develop a therapeutic relationship that feels positive and safe, where clients feel accepted and understood.
