I have over 10 years of experience in the mental health field and have been providing counseling services for over 6 years. I provide a judgement free space to explore your feelings and review tools that can help you break away from repetitive thoughts and expectations. I am a therapist who uses a variety of therapy methods to meet the needs of my clients. I am also a therapist who utilizes holistic approaches, so I incorporate mindfulness, meditation, and somatic practices into our sessions.
In our first session, you take the lead in defining the path forward. We will explore the pressing issue that brought you to seek support and will create a plan that is uniquely tailored to the goals and changes that you are looking for. During sessions clients mainly want to focus on topics related to family conflict, relationship conflict, traumas they have experienced, and other stressors that impact their emotions, mood, and behaviors that affect their daily lives.
I have been told by clients that I am a great listener who helps them think about their situations differently. I strive to relate to my clients, so they feel understood. That understanding leads to growth and change.
Clients I see often feel tired all of the time. Some clients feel like, while they are surrounded by family and friends, they do not have someone they can talk to who will understand. Some clients feel like things from their past keep popping up and can’t seem to understand why they’re not over them yet. Other clients feel like they have too much going on and don’t have time for a breakdown. I believe we grow when we’re uncomfortable. The fact that your discomfort has led you here means you’re ready.
