Your first session at Kare'n Minds and Wellness is designed to be a comprehensive yet comfortable introduction to care. This initial evaluation is a structured, one-on-one conversation where we take the time to fully understand you - your concerns, your history, and your goals. During this session, we will review your current symptoms, mental health history, and any previous treatments or medications. We will also explore lifestyle factors, stressors, and patterns that may be impacting your overall well-being. This is not a rushed appointment, it is a dedicated space for you to feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. Together, we will begin to identify a clear path forward. This may include diagnostic clarification, medication management (if appropriate), and personalized treatment recommendations tailored to your needs and preferences. By the end of your first session, you can expect to leave with: - A clearer understanding of your symptoms and potential diagnosis - An initial treatment plan tailored specifically to you - Next steps, including follow up- scheduling and ongoing care recommendations Above all, you can expect a professional, collaborative, and non-judgmental experience where your voice matters and your care is personalized
My greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to combine clinical precision with genuine human connection. I don't take a one-size-fits-all approach. Every treatment plan is thoughtfully tailored to the individual, with careful attention to both symptoms and underlying patterns driving them. What sets my work apart is my ability to see beyond the surface, helping clients gain clarity, stabilize effectively, and experience meaningful, lasting change - not just temporary relief.
At Kare'n Minds and Wellness I serve individuals who are ready to prioritize their mental health. and take an active role in their healing journey. My ideal clients are high-functioning adults - often professionals, entrepreneurs and caregivers, who may appear "put together" on the outside but are navigating internal challenges such as anxiety, burnout, or mood instability. I am committed to supporting individuals navigating substance use and those seeking recovery, offering a structured, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach to care.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is an evidence-based approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions and behaviors. It helps identify unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives that support improved mood and functioning. In sessions, we work together to recognize patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, or stress and develop a practical strategies to shift those patterns. CBT is structured, goal-oriented, and focused on building skills you can apply in your daily life - helping you gain greater control, clarity, and long-term emotional stability.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational interviewing is a collaborative, client-centered approach that helps you explore your thoughts, behaviors, and readiness for change. Rather than being told what to do, you are guided through meaningful conversations that uncover your own motivations, goals and values.
Psychoeducation
Psychoeducation is a key part of care and focuses on helping you better understand your mental health, symptoms, and treatment. This will empower you to make informed decisions, recognize patterns, and actively participate in your treatment, supporting long-term stability and meaningful change

She is the first doctor to allow me to tell my story. She was interested in what is the roots of my illness. I felt heard for the first time in 20 years. I have denied my diagnosis for years until she explained symptoms that l thought were just me. They r really issues that needs to be addressed. I am in shock. Now l will get the help that l need. I will be able to be a better mom, friend and coworker. I highly recommend her if you want someone that will listen to you.
