Dr. Inez Ezea

PMHNP4 years of experience

I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) prepared Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with 4 years of experience providing psychiatric care, complemented by more than 20 years of experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. I earned my DNP from Loma Linda University, where I developed advanced clinical knowledge and skills to support comprehensive, patient-centered care. My extensive clinical background has provided me with a strong foundation in assessing complex health needs, responding to acute situations, and caring for individuals from diverse backgrounds and across a wide range of clinical circumstances. As a PMHNP, I provide holistic, individualized, and evidence-based psychiatric care. I believe each person is unique, and treatment should be tailored to their individual needs, goals, values, and circumstances. I take the time to listen, understand the whole person, and work collaboratively with clients to develop a treatment approach that supports both mental and overall well-being. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, supported, and actively involved in their care. Through a combination of clinical expertise, evidence-based treatment, and a holistic perspective, I strive to help each client achieve meaningful and sustainable improvements in their quality of life.

First session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin developing a collaborative approach to your care. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns, experiences, and goals. During our initial visit, we will discuss your current symptoms and concerns, medical and psychiatric history, medications, lifestyle, and other factors that may be affecting your mental and emotional well-being. We will also explore what you hope to accomplish through treatment. I take a holistic approach to care, recognizing that mental health is influenced by the whole person—including physical health, emotional well-being, relationships, lifestyle, stressors, and personal circumstances. Together, we will discuss your treatment options and develop an individualized, evidence-based plan that reflects your needs, preferences, and goals. Depending on your situation, treatment may include medication management, education, therapeutic recommendations, lifestyle strategies, referrals, or coordination with other healthcare providers.

Strengths

What sets my approach apart is the combination of extensive clinical experience, advanced education, and a genuine commitment to seeing each client as a whole person. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Loma Linda University, I bring advanced psychiatric knowledge together with more than 20 years of experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. This diverse clinical experience has strengthened my ability to recognize complex health concerns, understand the connection between physical and mental health, and approach each individual with compassion and clinical perspective. My practice is grounded in holistic, individualized, and evidence-based care. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I take the time to understand each client's unique history, concerns, strengths, lifestyle, and goals. I believe effective treatment begins with listening and building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I also believe clients should be active participants in their care. We work together to understand your symptoms, explore treatment options, and develop a plan that is both clinically appropriate and aligned with your personal needs and preferences. Ultimately, my goal is to provide care that goes beyond simply managing symptoms. I strive to understand the whole person—mind, body, and life circumstances—and help each client move toward greater emotional well-being, stability, and quality of life.
