Elizabeth Omoniyi
Hi, I’m Elizabeth Omoniyi, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based mental health care. I work with adults and young adults experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, and life transitions. My goal is to create a supportive and judgment-free environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and actively involved in their treatment. I combine medication management with education, supportive therapy, and practical coping strategies to help clients improve daily functioning, emotional wellness, and overall quality of life. I believe mental health care works best when clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their journey.
My background in both psychiatric and broader medical nursing allows me to take a holistic approach to care by considering the connection between mental, emotional, and physical health.
First session
During our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to treatment. I’ll ask questions about your current symptoms, mental health history, medical history, lifestyle factors, stressors, sleep, and treatment goals so I can gain a full understanding of your needs. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental. Many clients come into their first appointment feeling nervous or unsure about what to expect, and that’s completely okay. My goal is to create a comfortable space where you feel heard, respected, and supported. Together, we’ll discuss possible diagnoses, treatment options, medication considerations if appropriate, and practical next steps to help you move toward improved mental wellness. By the end of the session, you can expect to leave with a clearer understanding of your symptoms, a personalized treatment plan, and a path forward that feels manageable and realistic.
Strengths
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients feel comfortable discussing difficult emotions and personal challenges. I understand that seeking mental health care can feel overwhelming, and I strive to help clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the treatment process. I have experience working with individuals managing ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, mood disorders, stress, and life transitions across outpatient and telehealth settings. My background in both psychiatric and broader medical nursing allows me to take a holistic approach to care by considering the connection between mental, emotional, and physical health. Clients often appreciate my calm and approachable style, practical problem-solving approach, and focus on individualized treatment plans. I believe in combining evidence-based medication management with psychoeducation, supportive therapy, and realistic coping strategies that clients can apply in everyday life. My goal is to help clients build stability, improve functioning, and feel more confident in managing their mental health over time.

Treatment methods
Supportive
I use a supportive and collaborative approach focused on helping clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their treatment journey. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where we can explore symptoms, stressors, coping strategies, and treatment goals together. My approach combines medication management with practical emotional support, psychoeducation, and encouragement tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I incorporate CBT-based techniques to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier coping strategies. I often use practical tools and structured problem-solving to help clients manage anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD-related challenges, and life transitions.
Motivational Interviewing
I use motivational interviewing to help clients explore personal goals, strengthen motivation for change, and build confidence in treatment. This approach is especially helpful for clients working through anxiety, depression, behavioral changes, substance use concerns, or improving overall wellness.
Trauma-Informed Care
I provide trauma-informed care that emphasizes emotional safety, trust, collaboration, and respect. I recognize the impact trauma can have on mental and physical health and tailor treatment plans with sensitivity to each client’s experiences and comfort level.
