New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping teens, young adults, and adults reconnect with their own innate capacity for healing. Together, we will explore and practice tools that support you in navigating life transitions, building self-esteem, healing from trauma, managing depression and anxiety, and strengthening your relationships. My approach is warm, accepting, and genuine. This is a space where you are welcome to show up exactly as you are — no need to have it all figured out before you walk through the door.
In our first session we will touch on key points of your intake and talk about the reasons you took the courageous step to show up for yourself through therapy. In this session I hope to get a sense of your strengths, things you love, and what is happening for you in life right now. We are made up of so many parts, and together we will identify the parts of you seeking to grow, heal, and/or get un-stuck. We will identify a schedule and session framework moving forward so that you feel safe and held.
We will tap into your strengths to help build tools for growth in places you may be stuck. Before becoming a social worker I worked on organic farms and also became a birth doula and massage therapist. I like to integrate a whole body approach to wellness, and will stay curious about your physical/spiritual health and wellness as well as your mental and emotional health. I come from a background of community organizing, and I embrace the stories, lives, and experiences of all people across race, class, culture, gender and sexual orientation.
For over three decades, I have had the privilege of working alongside teenagers and their families in school and community center settings, work that I still love. For the past ten years, I have also extended my practice to young adults ages 18–30 who are navigating the complexities of emerging adulthood and building their identities. I enjoy engaging with clients who bring curiosity and openness to the therapeutic process, and who are prepared to take meaningful and courageous steps toward their own growth and well-being. I am especially committed to serving individuals who have experienced systemic oppression (including racism, poverty, and community violence) and whose health and well-being have been affected as a result.

I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
I use strengths-based therapy as a positive, collaborative approach to mental health and well-being. Instead of focusing entirely on barriers or deficits, we will work together to identify and build upon your inherent wisdom, coping skills, and past successes.
