Starting therapy can feel like a big step but it can become a place where you feel truly heard, understood, and empowered to make lasting changes. That’s the kind of work I do with my clients. I provide a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly without judgment, while also helping you look at patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that might be holding you back. People often describe me as caring, patient, and deeply supportive—while also appreciating that I’m honest and willing to gently challenge them when it helps them grow. Therapy with me is a partnership. I listen closely, reflect what I hear, ask questions that encourage insight, and collaborate with you as you develop strategies that fit your life. I believe the best progress happens when you’re empowered to find your own solutions, guided by curiosity, encouragement, and steady support. There are no quick fixes—real change takes effort, openness, and patience—but you don’t have to do that work alone. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and trauma histories. With over 25 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people from many backgrounds as they move toward healthier relationships, more clarity, and a stronger sense of balance in their lives. If you’re looking for a therapist who genuinely cares, listens deeply, and actively helps you make meaningful changes, I would be honored to work with you.
In our first session, my priority is helping you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. We’ll spend time getting to know what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and what feels most important for you right now. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to, this is your space, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and challenges, and I’ll also explain how I work so you know what to expect from therapy with me. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and exploring next steps that make sense for your life. You don’t need to come in with everything figured out. The first session is simply a starting point, a chance to see if this feels like a good fit and to begin building a supportive, collaborative relationship.
My professional foundation is Rogerian in offering unconditional positive regard, compassion, kindness, patience as we explore problem areas and parse through your real versus ideal selves. Beyond that, I will use a variety of tools drawn from multiple approaches to therapy including: CBT - examining the role thoughts, beliefs and behaviors, DBT - implementing coping and distress tolerance strategies; Narrative therapy: considering the stories we tell ourselves and the ways we can rescript these; Adlerian & Psychodynamic: considering the role of early family experiences and social contexts play in our mental health; Existential: if you seek to enhance your life with meaning and self-direction through creativity, awe, presence, transcendence, and spirituality
I create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and respected, while also helping them think differently and move toward meaningful change. My collaborative, compassionate approach empowers folks to develop insight, build practical strategies, and create lasting growth in their lives and relationships.
