Do you feel that life can, at times, may be very challenging and even seem overwhelming. There can be hope in being able overcome these difficulties and reaching your goals and full potential. Areas which are distressing for you are addressed in a collaborative approach which accentuates the positive. Feeling better is an important first step in your journey to developing effective coping skills and resiliency, reaching your goals, and realizing your full potential. This is accomplished through an empirically based multi-modal and multi-dimensional approach which incorporates all your important characteristics and strengths while developing new abilities. Whether you're dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, legal issues, and/or relationship difficulties, I'm here to help you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Every journey begins with a first step, which is primarily finding out what is areas may be difficult and where your strengths lie. After the first session, a collaborative course of care will be agreed upon and development of individualized coping skill will begin. These areas will only proceed at a pace comfortable and understandable by you. Everyone is unique and your goals and aspirations are my primary consideration.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I have worked in private practice, inpatient/outpatient settings, and performance coaching with children, adolescents, and adults for over 37 years. My experience includes training and working in the modalities of group, family, and couples psychotherapy. I continue to work with diverse clients with a myriad of difficulties and am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. These modalities help you to address your distressing thoughts and memories and to assist in making positive changes and empowering you to obtain the changes you desire.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am empathetic and understanding, realizing each person is unique, with many strengths and potentials. My experience in many dimensions which help one reach one's self actualization is helpful from the perspective of my utilizing these areas directly. Feeling better in all ways is extremely important, but going beyond to meet those goals you may have felt were out of reach, is also an area in which I have helped others attain.
