Hi! I am glad you are here. It's important to me to provide a warm and non-judgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted. I work collaboratively with adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the lasting effects of difficult experiences. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and based on my client's needs, but is grounded in person-centered, strengths-based, compassion focused and trauma-informed practices. I'm here to be with you in what's hard and to also recognize and celebrate with you what's growing and going well. Therapy isn't only about pain- it's about walking together through the full range of your experience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, so our first meeting starts with a supportive conversation and getting to know each other and why you're here. We'll explore what's been weighing on you, what you're hoping for, and what feels most important right now. There's no pressure to share your story all at once-we'll go at your pace. By the end of the first session, you'll have a clearer sense of how I work, how therapy can best support you and a sense of direction and next steps.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic approach is eclectic, relational and encouraging and integrates insight-oriented approaches to increase understanding of self with practical strategies for change. A good therapy experience includes both comfort and discomfort. I aim to create a steady, compassionate space where both can coexist, so you will feel supported while also able to grow beyond old limitations. My clients have said they feel comfortable with me, encouraged and gently pushed at times. Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a method that I am excited to introduce and offer to clients. ART uses guided imagery and eye movements to reduce emotional intensity of traumatic or painful experiences. Some clients prefer ART as a stand-alone modality, but most have said that they benefit from the combination of ART and talk therapy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve clients who are motivated for change yet find themselves caught in anxiety, overthinking, self-criticism, or recurring relational patterns. Many are navigating life transitions, identity shifts, caregiving stress, or the emotional impact of past experiences. They're often seeking deeper self-understanding, relief from old patterns, and a more compassionate, values-aligned way of living.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

At the heart of my work is a belief that you are the expert of your own life. I offer a supportive, person-centered space and provide tools to help you handle painful thoughts and emotions with more kindness and less struggle. Together we'll clarify what matters most to you and move towards those values in ways that feel genuine and sustainable.

Compassion Focused

I integrate Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) to help clients develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with themselves and reduce shame and self-criticism.

Mind-body approach

I integrate Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) as part of a trauma-informed approach to help clients safely process and resolve distressing memories and calm the nervous system. ART uses guided imagery and eye movements to reduce emotional intensity of traumatic experiences without requiring detailed verbal recounting. This approach supports nervous system regulation, increased sense of control, and lasting relief from trauma related distress and ongoing "triggers". Many people notice relief more quickly than with traditional talk therapy

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients respond more flexibly to difficult thoughts and emotions rather than feeling stuck or overwhelmed by them. Together we build mindfulness skills, increase self-compassion, and clarify personal values so that meaningful, values-based actions become more possible, even during stress, anxiety, or life transitions.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The way we think affects the way we feel and the way we behave. With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy we will work together to build insight and a toolbox for reducing anxiety, and entrenched patterns of thinking that keep you stuck.
