I am a Hispanic Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my Masters from San Diego State University in Clinical Social Work, and have been practicing for four years. I provide bilingual (Spanish/English) and bicultural psychotherapy services to individuals 18+ struggling with mental health challenges and trauma-related disorders regain self-control and power. In my practice, I utilize a blend of holistic, multisystemic, and integrative evidence-based models tailored to your specific needs and concerns. I am gender and culturally affirming, incredibly compassionate and genuine, able to create an immediate warm and safe space that evokes clients to open up and share.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Throughout our therapeutic alliance, I strive to provide a calm, supportive, and nondirective space where the client feels seeing, heard, and validated. In the first therapy session, I will briefly review the informed consent for services document and will proceed to obtain a biopsychosocial history of the client and gather information on presenting problems. In addition, family of origin issues are explored, as well as any history of trauma. This will help me create a tailored wellness plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am affirming of people of all backgrounds, gender identities, and sexual orientations. I connect with my clients as they arrive and meet them where they are. My gentle and nonjudgmental presence, and critical thinking mind along with my training and experience in both holistic and integrative approaches will help you explore and develop a stronger sense of self and learn the skills and tools necessary to live a life worth living. I am a firm believer that individuals have the capability within to heal themselves and I am just an additional tool in your toolbox to assist you in your journey. I have worked in various settings including K-12, higher education, community mental health, and more recently, group and private practice. My treatment methods

Eclectic

I utilize an eclectic approach, meaning that I take clients as they arrive and meet them where they're, as therapy is never "a one size fits all". I provide unconditional genuine and compassionate support mixed with both holistic and evidence-based methodologies including mindfulness, strength-based, solution-focused, psychodynamic, psychoeducation, and acceptance and commitment therapy to name a few. My goal is to create a warm and safe space in order to explore and process past adverse experiences, identify how this has impacted your life today and heal from pain and suffering. In our work together, you'll cultivate greater inner strength, peace, resources, and coping skills to help you create a more balanced and fulfilling life.
