I help children, teens, and adults who feel stuck in anxiety, ADHD, depression, and other mental health challenges. Rooted in my Christian faith, I partner with individuals who are ready to move beyond simply managing symptoms and begin addressing the deeper causes of their struggles. While medication can be a helpful tool, it is never my only approach. I practice holistic psychiatry, taking into account the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of well-being to support meaningful and lasting change. My goal is to help patients not only feel better, but truly heal and grow.

I practice holistic psychiatry, taking into account the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of well-being to support meaningful and lasting change.

My approach may include medication management, lab testing, nutrition, supplements, botanicals, and mind-body strategies to help children, teens, and adults feel clearer, calmer, more connected, and aligned. Above all, I believe in listening deeply. Your story matters, and I am here to support and guide you toward a more peaceful and balanced life. There is always light—even in difficult seasons—if we are willing to seek it. If you're ready to take the next step in your healing journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

First session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a supportive, comfortable space for your care. During this appointment, we will discuss your current concerns, personal history, symptoms, and what you hope to achieve through treatment. We will also review any previous mental health treatment, medications, and other factors that may help guide your care. This session helps me better understand your needs so we can develop an appropriate treatment plan together. You will have time to ask questions, share what has been most challenging for you, and talk about your goals for therapy or medication management. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and supported. By the end of the session, we will discuss next steps, including potential treatment options, follow-up appointments, and recommendations tailored to your needs.

Strengths

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe that every client’s experience is unique, and I take the time to truly listen and understand each person’s story before developing a treatment plan. One of my strengths is creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and challenges without judgment. With nearly thirty years of experience in nursing and mental health care—including inpatient psychiatry, psychiatric emergency care, outpatient psychiatry, and substance use rehabilitation—I bring both depth of clinical knowledge and genuine compassion to my practice. I am also currently pursuing my doctorate at Johns Hopkins University to further expand my expertise and continue providing the highest quality care to my clients.

Ideal clients

I work with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, or ADHD, which may negatively impact their quality of life with their family, work, or school performance. During our sessions we work collaboratively to come up with a treatment plan that includes medication and supportive therapy. Clients usually see an improvement in their symptoms within the first month of care.
