I specialize in diagnosing and treating psychiatric and mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, offering both therapy and medication management.
My approach is collaborative, working with each person to develop a treatment plan that aligns with their unique needs and goals. I’m passionate about supporting people in achieving better mental well-being and improving their overall quality of life.
First session
In the initial session, I conduct a comprehensive assessment to gain a clear understanding of the client’s unique needs and concerns. Based on this assessment, I develop a personalized plan that guides our work together in future sessions, focused on helping the client achieve their goals.
Strengths
My greatest strengths lie in empowering clients and developing tailored plans that guide them toward meaningful progress and improvement.
Ideal clients
I have a strong passion for working with young professionals in the early years of their careers, who are motivated to grow but often lack the tools to make meaningful progress. These individuals frequently feel stuck, overwhelmed, or anxious about their career direction. I also enjoy working with clients of all ages, from adolescents to older adults, helping them manage mental health challenges and develop effective coping strategies. My aim is to empower clients to overcome obstacles and build the skills they need to succeed in both their personal and professional lives.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a core treatment method I use to help patients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and unhelpful behaviors. By working together, we explore how thoughts, feelings, and actions are interconnected, and develop strategies to reframe those thoughts and replace them with healthier, more balanced perspectives. This structured, goal-oriented approach is effective for treating a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and stress, and empowers patients to create lasting positive changes in their mental health.
Interpersonal
Interpersonal Focused Therapy (IPT) is a treatment that emphasizes the connection between mood and interpersonal relationships. It helps individuals identify and address issues in their social interactions, such as role disputes, grief, or social isolation, that may contribute to emotional distress. In my experience, IPT has been valuable for improving communication skills, building stronger relationships, and resolving conflicts. In practice, I use IPT to help clients explore how their relationships impact their mental health and work on strategies to improve social support and interpersonal effectiveness.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBT) focuses on increasing awareness of the present moment and developing a non-judgmental attitude toward thoughts and emotions. In my experience, MBT has been incredibly helpful in reducing stress, anxiety, and emotional reactivity by teaching clients to observe their thoughts without getting caught up in them. In my practice, I use mindfulness techniques like breathing exercises and body scans to help clients increase emotional regulation, foster self-compassion, and develop a deeper sense of inner calm and acceptance.
Psychoeducation
Psychoeducation Therapy involves teaching clients about psychological concepts, coping strategies, and mental health conditions to help them understand and manage their symptoms. In my experience, psychoeducation has been empowering for clients, providing them with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their mental health and well-being. In practice, I use psychoeducation to help clients understand the nature of their challenges, normalize their experiences, and introduce practical tools for managing stress, improving coping skills, and enhancing emotional resilience.
Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a goal-oriented approach that focuses on finding solutions rather than delving into past problems. In my experience, SFBT is effective for clients seeking quick, practical strategies to overcome challenges and achieve specific goals. In practice, I use SFBT to help clients identify their strengths, explore past successes, and set clear, actionable goals, enabling them to move forward with a sense of empowerment and optimism.
