I am a California licensed clinician (LMFT) with over 30 years of experience. I am a solution-focused therapist who creates a warm, empathic, non-judgmental environment to help you feel safe and cared for. I have extensive experience working with adults across multiple issues, leveraging various clinical tools and training to help get you "unstuck", take better care of yourself, and live your best life. During my career, I have worked as a corporate executive, consultant, coach, trainer, and clinician. I am finishing my doctorate in clinical psychology with a research focus on loneliness and social connection.
During our first session, we will learn about each other and begin building a trusting, supportive, caring, and non-judgmental relationship. During the initial assessment, we will identify some of the current issues and challenges interfering with your life. We will talk about how to best use our time together, build a personal treatment plan, set goals to help guide treatment and track progress, and work to improve your coping skills, identify negative thought patterns, and get you unstuck and moving forward to help you continue to grow and live your best life.
I am a solution-focused provider and strive to help my clients "live in the solution rather than live in the problem". I can be direct and challenging, but you will always find me to be empathic, caring, supportive, and nonjudgmental. I am a provider with considerable experience (life, corporate, and therapeutic) and have worked across the spectrum of mental health distress and with multiple populations. I have extensive training across multiple therapeutic disciplines and approaches and leverage tools from multiple techniques tailored to the individual situation. My eclectic approach allows me to customize treatment and not get stuck using a single technique that might not be a good fit for a particular client.
I enjoy working with adults across the age spectrum, from late adolescence through late adulthood. My strengths are helping clients who feel stuck and need support working through challenges, including relationship issues, loneliness, work and career challenges, depression, anxiety, self-care issues, retirement issues and adjustment, and other transitional life events.
