I am am licensed clinical social worker in Connecticut with 42 years of clinical experience providing therapy/counseling to a variety of clients with various concerns. I enjoy taking this journey with clients and witnessing them make change during difficult times with my support. I work with clients across the lifespan. Clients decide what they would like to change we work in an environment conducive to change while helping clients to feel more confident.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We will start with introductions and learning what brings the client to treatment and what they hope to gain from the experience. I like to get as much background as possible. We will discuss a treatment plan.

I have many years of experience with clients and have worked with a variety of issues. I want clients to feel at ease and comfortable and work to establish such an environment.

I enjoy working with clients who want to change and are struggling with obstacles in their lives such as making decisions about relationships, jobs etc.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I am a supportive clinician who helps to empower clients and provide therapeutic techniques such as CBT to challenge and replace with other thoughts.

Supportive

I have 42 years of experience serving a variety of clients experiencing a range of difficulties from anxiety/depression to grief/loss, transitions, divorce, couples and substance abuse. I utilize CBT, psychodynamic, supportive therapy techniques and DBT.

Psychoeducation

With many of the concerns that clients bring to treatment, psychoeducation can be helpful to know that they are not alone and understanding some of the background of their situation.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT can be extremely helpful especially when people engage in patterns that are not serving them.

Grief Therapy

People can experience many different types of losses over the lifetime and often need help in dealing with what is significant to them. I give them the opportunity and guidance in a save environment to grieve.
