My name is Myra Gaius-Anyaegbu. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a Master of Science in Nursing Degree with specialty in Psychiatric and Mental Health from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am licensed by the Texas, Arizona, and Washington State board of Nursing and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center to provide psychiatric and mental health services to patients across the lifespan. I have worked in the behavioral health setting for over ten years. I aim to decrease the stigma associated with mental health by encouraging and assisting you to take charge of your health, not just physically but mentally as well. I specialize in treatment and management of ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Post- Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Bipolar Disorder and other mental health conditions in children, adolescents and adults. I look forward to assisting you to reach your life goals and live your best life.
Our first session will be spent building rapport, reviewing your past and present history, which will allow you the client and me the provider formulate an effective treatment plan. I look forward to being part of your mental health/wellness journey.
I utilize a variety of methods and tools to ensure a well rounded treatment approach. They include but are not limited to psychiatric assessment, diagnostic screening tools such as the PHQ-9, GAD-7, NICHQ Vanderbilt Assessment Scales, Talk Therapy and Medication Management.
I listen to my clients and provide a safe and therapeutic environment where you can verbalize your needs as you feel comfortable to. I have worked with clients across the lifespan in different clinical settings, including out-patient clinics, in-patient hospitals, corrections, and partial hospitalization programs(PHP), and I am equipped to effectively assess and work with you to create treatment plan and provide recommendations tailored to your specific situation.
Have you been feeling stuck, unmotivated, and not knowing how to carry on? If you answered yes, then you have come to the right place. I provide a safe space where you can freely share your concerns without fear of being judged.
