Hello, I'm Nishan. Do you ever feel alone or lack direction and or purpose? Have you ever felt that you've taken a few steps forward only to take more steps backward? You're not alone. I have helped several individuals with defining and determining meaning within their purpose-driven lives. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma and or emotional abuse. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps toward change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
Your first therapy session is an opportunity to feel heard, understood, and comfortable in a supportive, judgment-free environment. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you are currently experiencing, and what you hope to accomplish through counseling. Together, we will begin identifying patterns, concerns, and areas that may be impacting your emotional well-being, relationships, or daily life. You will have the opportunity to share your story at your own pace while we begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. You can expect to leave your first session with greater clarity about your concerns, an understanding of how therapy can support your goals, and initial strategies or tools that you can begin using between sessions. We will also collaborate on treatment goals and determine what approach may work best for you. Most importantly, you do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You simply need to be willing to take the first step. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will work together to help you develop healthier coping skills, build confidence, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I've worked with individuals who have experienced a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and ADHD. I have also helped individuals who find it difficult to feel heard and express their thoughts and feelings in an effective manner. If you are ready to take the next steps to improve and resolve conflict appropriately, I can help you improve and acquire this skill.
My ideal client is an adult experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, trauma-related challenges, or major life transitions. I work well with individuals who may appear high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck, or uncertain on the inside. Clients may be young adults, professionals, parents, couples, or individuals navigating personal, family, or workplace challenges. They are motivated to make positive changes, open to self-reflection, and willing to learn and practice new coping strategies. Therapy focuses on helping clients manage anxiety and stress, improve emotional regulation, build confidence, establish healthy boundaries, strengthen communication and relationships, challenge negative thought patterns, and develop healthier coping skills. I provide a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel heard, gain insight into their patterns, develop practical tools, and work toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.

My approach is collaborative, and client led. I incorporate prayer, Scripture, and faith-based discussions as desired by the client, ensuring that spiritual integration feels authentic and empowering rather than prescriptive. I've worked with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, grief, marriage challenges, and identity concerns while supporting them through a lens that honors their Christian values and spiritual journey.
I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey of self-discovery and healing. Together, we’ll explore your unique experiences, identify patterns, and develop personalized strategies to overcome challenges and embrace a more fulfilling life.
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a structured, evidence-based form of cognitive-behavioral therapy designed to help individuals process and reframe unhelpful thoughts related to trauma. It focuses on identifying “stuck points,” challenging distorted beliefs, and developing healthier ways of thinking to reduce symptoms of PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment that combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness strategies. It focuses on building skills in four key areas—mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness—to help individuals manage intense emotions, reduce self-destructive behaviors, and improve relationships.
