Often starting therapy can often feel overwhelming. I congratulate you on taking the first step to improving your life. I specialize in working with adults of all ages navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem, addiction, LGBT+, and Gender. I take a client-centered, collaborative approach to therapy and I’m here to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can be yourself and work to better your circumstances.
Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. This is a time for you to assess me as well and to see how you feel about embarking on this journey together. Therapy is a process, and we’ll continue to get to know each other and build on our work together over time.
I have been working in Community Based Mental Health since 2009 and I love helping people meet the goals they have set. I have a Bachelors in Social Work from University of Arkansas, a Masters in Social Work from San Diego State University and Doctorate in Social Work from University of Southern California. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker holding licenses in the states of California and Arkansas. My journey into therapy began with desire to help others find strength and empowerment in creating the life they want. During my training and career, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of people in a community based health clinics. This experience has shown me the powerful role therapy can play in people’s lives and I am invested in the belief that everyone has the potential for positive growth and has the power to create change in their life.
