7 years of experience

Bethany is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and School Counselor whose passion is helping others become the best version of themselves. Bethany’s vision as a licensed practitioner is to “create a calm, relaxed, and non-judgmental environment for her clients to share their stories and to reach their goals.” If you are willing to give therapy a chance, I promise you, it will be one of the best decisions that you have ever made.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I have a very laid back, understanding, compassionate, and non-judgmental type of therapy style. I can promise you, there is nothing that you can tell me that I probably haven't heard before. Relax, light a candle, grab a cup of coffee, and let's start chatting about all of the different parts of YOU (the good, the bad, and everything in-between).

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My educational background, the non-judgemental environment I foster to create, and my life experiences. I know that I must be doing something right based off of my clients' progress during and after treatment and their testimonials about what their experience was like with me as their therapist.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy. It may help you to change unhelpful or unhealthy ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. CBT uses practical self-help strategies. These are designed to immediately improve your quality of life. CBT can be an effective way to treat depression and anxiety.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), is a mental health therapy method. EMDR treats mental health conditions that happen because of memories from traumatic events in your past.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) helps children address distorted or upsetting beliefs and attributions and learn skills to help them cope with ordinary life stressors. It also helps parents who were not abusive to cope effectively with their own emotional distress and develop skills that support their children.
