Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in sunny Florida! I received my master’s degree from the University of South Florida and have been licensed and practicing for 30 years, treating all ages. I work with a wide array of areas, including anxiety, depression, life skills, and grief. I am a certified provider specializing in trauma, grief, ADHD, and dementia. I use a client-centered and collaborative approach. As we work together, you will find that a major focus is on building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel supported and understood. I am empathetic, nonjudgmental, and a great listener. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a structured, goal-oriented therapy that encourages you to focus on current problems and find solutions, rather than dwelling on the past. This approach allows you to manage mental health conditions and emotional concerns by identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. I look forward to working together, problem-solving, and helping you feel like yourself again!

I’m a mental health therapist with more than thirteen years of experience, and my practice is grounded in honoring each client as a whole person. From the moment you enter session, you are respected, appreciated, and offered a space where you can speak freely and disclose only what feels right for you. Safety, dignity, and autonomy guide every part of our work together. Clinically, I draw from evidenced based approaches such as ERP, CBT, TRAP/TRAC, mindful‑living practices, and intentional space for processing — blending structure with openness so clients can explore both the practical and the deeply personal. My greatest strengths as a therapist are working with individuals struggling with OCD (you don't have to be afraid to speak your intrusive thoughts in my sessions. I am trained to understand the difference of ego dystonic intrusive thoughts that don't align with your true values and beliefs), Panic Attacks, Generalized Anxiety, Depression., aging and life transitions. Individuals struggling with eating disorders will be given referrals for treatment of this disorder. If chosen by the client, I can also help integrate Christian beliefs into treatment in a way that supports their healing, values, and sense of meaning. My role is to walk alongside you, offering evidence‑based care that aligns with who you are and how you want to grow.

I am a native Floridian with a Journalism degree who fell into Social Work 26 years ago while doing a story about a family who helped recovering addicts. It takes courage to not only ask for help, but also to accept it. You are already on your journey by simply reaching out. Well done you! Sandi Karnbach LCSW, MBA, Family Mediator

I work with adults who feel stuck, burned out, or disconnected from themselves and are ready to look honestly at what's not working in their lives. Most of the people I see are juggling demanding careers, family responsibilities, or both, and have been pushing through anxiety, low mood, or chronic overwhelm for longer than they'd like to admit. The work I'm most drawn to: anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, women's issues, and the patterns that keep us stuck.

One of the most important components of therapy is the relationship and connection between the client and therapist. As a therapist, I pride myself on providing a safe and open environment for clients. I show up authentically so that my clients can as well. As a member of the queer and neurodivergent community, I know the importance of having an open and affirming space. As a therapist my goal is to help people help themselves. You are the expert on you, and sometimes our own thoughts or experiences can get in the way of being the best version of ourselves. Everyone shows up in this world differently and for many of us the spaces we grew up in and live in can shape that. Therapy can be about understanding the past, as well as paving the way forward. Breaking generational trauma, understanding attachment, learning to cope, and building on resiliency to create the life you want. My framework for therapy is person centered, solution focused, and trauma informed. Each client's goals are unique and therefore we will work together to create a plan for how to reach these goals.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor with extensive experience working with adults facing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, life transitions, relationship challenges, and co-occurring mental health conditions. Throughout my career, I have worked in outpatient, residential, and community-based settings, helping individuals navigate some of life's most difficult experiences while rediscovering their strengths and sense of purpose. In addition to my clinical experience, I am a United States Air Force veteran and former first responder. These experiences have given me firsthand insight into the unique challenges associated with high-stress professions, trauma exposure, operational demands, transition struggles, and the pressure of carrying significant responsibility while managing your own well-being. As a result, I have a particular passion for working with veterans, active-duty military members, first responders, healthcare professionals, and others whose careers require them to care for others while often neglecting themselves.

I discovered a strong calling to support women navigating self-doubt, perfectionism, overthinking, and the weight of constantly putting others’ needs before their own. If you see yourself in this, you are not alone. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you work toward the goals that matter most to you. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker originally from Orlando, Florida, now proudly serving clients in Georgia and Florida. I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Central Florida. I integrate evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, Motivational Interviewing techniques, mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed care. I identify as she/her and as a Latina therapist, and I’m passionate about providing culturally informed therapy that honors the intersection of identity, culture, family dynamics, and lived experience. Creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and represented is central to my work. Outside of being a mental health therapist, I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, practicing yoga, being near the water, reading, and meditating.

My approach to therapy is solution-focused, compassionate, and centered on helping clients build lasting skills. Rather than simply helping someone get through the current crisis, I want to equip them with the tools they need to navigate future challenges with greater confidence and independence. I focus on identifying and addressing the underlying issues that drive recurring patterns, whether that's unresolved childhood trauma, deeply held negative beliefs about oneself, or other core experiences. My goal is to help clients process those experiences, challenge unhelpful cognitions, and develop healthier, more adaptive beliefs about themselves. While it's important to acknowledge and address what's happening in a client's life right now, I believe lasting change comes from understanding and working through the deeper patterns that contribute to those challenges. I strive to balance supporting clients through present-day concerns with helping them create meaningful, long-term change.

I completed my Masters in 2005, while also starting my journey in the field in 2004. I spent a year working in Opiate addiction but my true passion was children and families. I moved on to intensive services, working with underserved children and their families in rural areas, from 2005-2007. After leaving that position, I moved onto a company doing similar work. where I continued to work with children, families and adults that were underserved for 5 more years. I provided therapy in homes, schools and the office setting. I began to focus in on Trauma work as well as anxiety disorders to include OCD and all other anxiety disorders. After spending nearly 10 years in the field, I decided to get my license in the state of Florida (LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and move into a management role where I worked for the past 13 years while also maintaining private clients. I supervise therapists, working to become licensed, so I spend a lot of time consulting on cases of all kinds. In this time I was also trained in various forms of trauma based cognitive behavioral approaches as well as EMDR (still learning however).

believe healing is not about fixing what is “wrong,” but about building a kinder, more trusting relationship with yourself. I work with adolescents and adults who are navigating life transitions, issues around identity and self esteem, or feeling the lingering effects of traumatic experiences. Together we will work towards restoring a sense of grounding, choice, and self-compassion. With compassion and curiosity, the survival responses that once protected us can begin to soften opening the door to healing, thriving, and building a life lived with intention. My approach is heart centered and trauma informed. My work integrates EMDR (technique for reprocessing traumatic experiences), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). As a certified yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner, I value the body’s wisdom and may incorporate mindfulness or somatic awareness into our sessions. Whether you’re brand new to therapy or returning after time away, my hope is to offer a space that feels welcoming, supportive, and collaborative. I bring over 20 years of experience working with individuals across all ages—adults, young adults, teens, and children. Throughout my career, I’ve supported people navigating a wide range of challenges, including trauma, faith-related concerns, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, substance use, men’s issues, self-esteem struggles, decision-making difficulties, and grief and loss. My path into counseling began with a master’s degree in pastoral counseling. Over time, I felt called to serve a broader community, which led me to pursue a second master’s degree in counseling psychology. This training allows me to integrate both clinical expertise and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe healing happens when you feel genuinely heard, supported, and safe. My primary goal is to create a space where you can talk openly about the parts of your life that feel heavy, confusing, or painful—without judgment or pressure. I am a female therapist who enjoys working with both men, women. children and teenagers. I am very dedicated to my work. I worked with diverse populations early on, as I worked in the community settings with families that struggled with the challenges of being single parent households , addictions, abuse and behavioral problems. I also worked for over a year with cancer patients and learned their struggles and provided support and tools to manage their emotional turmoil. All these experiences taught me to have a better understanding for diverse cultures and people from all walks of life. Today I work in private practice and continue working with that passion and understanding with my clients.

I work with clients struggling with relationship, addiction, and anger problems as well as mood instability and trauma. After building rapport and developing goals and objectives, we will collaborate to find working solutions, improve coping skills, and identify barriers to personal improvement. If your tired of having the same arguments or going to bed angry, you're not alone. Most couples get stuck in patterns of communication or behavior that are painful and yet difficult to confront. The good news is you can learn a new way. I help partners feel heard and close once again. Reach out for a free 15 minute call to see if we are a good fit.

My name is Ledia Urbano, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida. For over 25 years I have the privileged to provide effective therapeutic interventions to adults impacted by mental illness and/or substance use disorders. I use a combination of therapy approaches that include but are not limited to Cognitive Behavior Therapy; which focus on identifying and changing negative thought patterns to improve behaviors and emotional regulation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; which provides a pathway for accepting difficult emotions rather than fighting them, while committing to actions aligned with personal values, Humanistic/Person-Center Therapy; which focus on our inherent capacity for growth, providing a supportive, non-judgmental environment for self-exploration, Solution-Focused Therapy, often called Solution-Focused Brief Therapy; a goal-oriented, strengths-based therapeutic approach which instead of dwelling on the history of a problem or digging into deep pathology, it focuses on building concrete solutions, identifying personal resources, and envisioning a desired future, and Integrative Therapy; a flexible, holistic approach that combines techniques from various schools to fit the unique needs of each individual.
