Hello and welcome! I take a collaborative, yet challenging approach to helping my clients to improve their relationships, heal from traumatic experiences, and increase confidence to achieve their personal goals and improve overall life satisfaction. Together, we will help you heal and make progress toward your therapeutic and personal goals in a supportive, encouraging environment. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Elon University in North Carolina and completed my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Valdosta University in Georgia. I currently offer telehealth sessions. I look forward to helping you on the next stage of your journey in life.
When you begin working with me, you can expect genuine kindness, professionalism, and mutual respect. I will work with you collaboratively to develop therapy goals that encourage healing, progress, and align with your personal values. I will also develop a personalized and flexible treatment plan as a guide to help you take steps toward making progress.
With a gentle, collaborative approach, I incorporate therapeutic techniques from Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). I adjust my technique based on each client's unique story and goals for therapy.
I am keenly aware of the many difficulties that come with being human and I am no stranger to suffering myself, which has made me a very compassionate person and therapist. I am especially passionate about helping clients to repair and strengthen their relationships by utilizing techniques from evidence-based practices such as Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy and the Gottman Method. These techniques help get to the heart of the matter to increase relationship satisfaction and heal emotional injuries that may have occurred throughout the relationship or as a result of previous trauma.
