Lori Dixon PMHNP-BC is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to adults. She takes a patient-centered approach, blending evidence-based practice with brief psychotherapeutic interventions and medication management to create individualized care plans. Her extensive experience includes work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, managing diverse mental health issues such as Bipolar, PTSD, and substance abuse.
A client can expect their initial visit to include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, determination of treatment goals and education about diagnosis and available treatment options.
Lori is able to connect with individuals where they are and treat them with understanding and empathy. She believes in an honest relationship built on mutual respect and trust. Ms. Dixon's style of practice can be traditional, with psychiatric medication, or alternative, incorporating natural treatments like supplements, lifestyle changes, and stress management. She strongly believes in the mind-body-spirit connection and views each patient as a whole person, not just a series of parts. She builds strong personal connections with clients and provides a safe and nurturing space for healing.
