Hello and welcome! My name is Amanda Watkins and I earned my MSW from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2017. Over the years, I've had the privilege of assisting individuals in various setting, including rehabilitation, the medical field, DV, outpatient services, etc. My therapeutic approach is grounded in compassion and empathy. I am dedicated to fostering healthy relationships, cherishing time with loved ones, embracing the outdoors, animals, and engaging in arts and crafts. I take great pride in my ability to support others and provide them with the tools necessary to navigate life's challenges. In my practice, I draw upon evidence-based techniques such as CBT, ERP, mindfulness, as well as art and pet therapy. My ultimate goal is to collaborate with you in a tranquil, safe environment, where we can build a strong therapeutic rapport and tailor a plan specific to your unique needs.
During the first session, I would love to know about you and who you are. What are the reasons you are seeking therapy. I would like to know your goals so an individualized plan can be put in place for your specific needs.
Having worked in this field for 7+ years, I have experience and have helped individuals through all walks of life. I would love to continue helping others for years to come.
