By tapping into your own strengths and resources, you are capable of healing and recovery. I employ CBT, DBT, CPT, somatic experiencing and trauma-informed care to provide you with therapeutic tools to improve your life while honoring your unique life experience. I have extensive experience working with adolescents and young and older adults. I have worked in the field for over 20 years. I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and have worked across multiple cultures.

Our first session, I will get to know you, what brings you to therapy and complete an intake. From there, we will set treatment goals.

I use a person-centered approach, incorporating a variety of treatment modalities based on your specific needs and concerns. This may include CBT, DBT, CPT, guided meditation and imagery.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I use a trauma-informed approach and will use the appropriate therapeutic tools based on your needs and will work with you collaboratively to achieve healing and better health.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have intensive CBT training and use this approach to teach top down coping skills.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use this approach to manage high risk behaviors and teach effective coping skills.

Trauma Informed Care

This approach underlies all of my treatment approaches and is supported by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES).
