New to Grow
If you feel stuck in patterns you know aren’t good for you—but can’t seem to break—you’re not alone. Maybe your mind won’t shut off. You overthink everything, question yourself constantly, or find yourself pulled back into the same relationships or habits, even when you know better. It’s exhausting… and frustrating. I help people understand why this happens and, more importantly, how to actually change it. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience working in mental health, including private practice, substance use, and online therapy. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). We will identify the patterns keeping you stuck, challenge the beliefs that reinforce them and build tools you can actually use. My goal isn’t just for you to feel better in session—it’s for you to leave with the ability to stay better. Therapy should be active and purposeful. While processing is important, real change happens when you’re willing to step outside your comfort zone and stay accountable to your growth. I’ll support you through that—but I will also challenge you when needed, because that’s where real change happens. If you’re ready to stop repeating the same cycles and start creating lasting change, I'm here to help!
In our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions to better understand your current concerns, symptoms, personal history and what you hope to gain from therapy. There are many skilled and compassionate therapists out there, but not every therapist is the right fit for every person. Finding the right "vibe" matters. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and confident that we can work well together.
My approach to therapy is structured, goal-oriented, and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I focus on helping clients understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, while actively working to rewire unhelpful patterns and build practical skills that can be used long after therapy ends. I believe therapy should be purposeful—not limited to an hour of venting each week. While processing is important, real change happens through practice, accountability, and challenging what is comfortable. Change is not always easy, but it is definitely worth it! I am committed to supporting you through every step of that process.
I enjoy working with adults who are navigating life transitions—whether that’s divorce, midlife changes, or adjusting to an empty nest—and feeling unsure about their purpose, direction, or sense of self. These moments can feel overwhelming, but they can also be powerful opportunities for growth and rediscovery. I especially enjoy working with women, though I welcome and work well with men too. Many of my clients come to me wanting to build healthier relationships, improve communication, and break patterns of codependency that keep them stuck. My approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and I’m passionate about helping clients understand how their brain works—because once you understand it, you can change it. I’m very practical and tools-focused, so you can expect to walk away with real strategies you can use in your everyday life. I also support adults who are looking to develop a healthier relationship with alcohol, including moderation strategies that feel realistic and sustainable.
