My treatment methods

Eclectic

You are your own expert, and each person is unique. The experiences you experience are also unique and with this, based on your needs and progress, different types of therapy styles can be utilized to assist in progress and meeting you where you are and to assist with support, encouragement, guidance, and progress.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is the backbone of all therapy. I use CBT to help explain to each client how every thought can lead to a feeling. I will ultimately help you examine your thoughts and beliefs. This results in allowing me to reveal how your distorted thoughts can directly lead to negative feelings. By putting in this work, thought patterns change, and this will lead you to happy and healthier feelings.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is essentially a modified form of cognitive behavioral therapy. The main areas I use this in my sessions are to help people live for the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, learn how to regulate their emotions, and improve all relationships in their lives.

Strength-Based

Strengths-based therapy focuses on your own existing strengths, resources, past experiences of resiliency, and positive supports and attributes, even those you might have forgotten or didn't know existed! We will take those strengths, nurture them, grow them, and put them in place to assist with navigating and reducing and managing!
