Krista Weber

LMFT6 years of experience

Reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are. I work with clients who are ready to better understand themselves, navigate life's challenges, and build the skills needed to create meaningful change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in practical, evidence-based strategies that help clients develop greater confidence, emotional balance, and resilience.

First session

The first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation for our work together. I understand that opening up to someone you've just met can feel uncomfortable, and there is no pressure to share everything all at once. We'll explore what has brought you to therapy, what you hope to gain from the experience, and what would help you feel that the work we're doing together is making a meaningful difference in your life. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace, while together we begin identifying goals that feel important and worthwhile to you.

Strengths

I believe one of the most valuable parts of therapy is having someone who can sit with you in life's difficult moments without judgment or the expectation that things need to be immediately figured out or resolved. I work to create a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest about where they are, while also helping them notice patterns and beliefs that may no longer be serving them. I am comfortable asking thoughtful, sometimes challenging questions because I believe growth often comes from seeing ourselves in new ways. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and move toward the changes that matter most to them.

Ideal clients

I am best positioned to work with individual adults who want to better understand themselves and create lasting changes in their lives. My clients are often experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, or patterns that leave them feeling stuck. I work well with individuals who are willing to explore new perspectives, practice practical coping skills, and collaborate on goals that support a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In my practice, I work collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns, build practical coping skills, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. CBT is integrated into treatment in a way that is tailored to each client's unique goals and experiences.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. I use a skills-based, compassionate approach to support clients in navigating intense emotions, improving relationships, and creating meaningful, lasting change while balancing acceptance and growth.
