(she/her)
I specialize in helping people to heal. I am committed to being of service and availing myself to those who need to heal emotional wounds, achieve more clarity, and agency over their lives. The main thing I want people and prospective clients to know is that despite what you have been through your peace of mind is still highly attainable. Recovery is possible, and while it isn’t easy work, it is good work. You are not defined by your experiences, you are not the byproduct of a single or recurrent circumstance, you do matter, what you have been through matters, and you deserve to reclaim and reconstruct the narrative of how and who it is that you came to be in this life.
Clients can expect to feel empowered through knowledge, affirmed in their perspective, and supported by my presence and professional assessment of how we can work together to achieve their goals.
I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy, combined with psychodynamic approaches. In addition, I am an advocate for multicultural counseling, and decolonized approaches to mental health.
My biggest strength is in treating trauma, depression, and anxiety. I also have specializations in perinatal and postpartum support, parenting issues, marital/relationship counseling, and group therapy.
