Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I frequently incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. I use CBT both as a stand-alone therapeutic modality and as an adjunct to medication management, depending on the patient’s needs and goals. Cognitive restructuring – guiding patients to identify and challenge distorted or negative thought patterns (e.g., catastrophizing, overgeneralization) and replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives.

In my clinical practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as a core therapeutic framework to help clients cultivate psychological flexibility, self-compassion, and purposeful living. Over the years, I have applied ACT principles with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, adjustment difficulties, and chronic stress, both in individual and group therapy settings.
