My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I frequently incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. CBT is highly effective for a wide range of conditions including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related disorders, and stress management. I use CBT both as a stand-alone therapeutic modality and as an adjunct to medication management, depending on the patient’s needs and goals. Cognitive restructuring – guiding patients to identify and challenge distorted or negative thought patterns (e.g., catastrophizing, overgeneralization) and replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In my clinical practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as a core therapeutic framework to help clients cultivate psychological flexibility, self-compassion, and purposeful living. Over the years, I have applied ACT principles with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, adjustment difficulties, and chronic stress, both in individual and group therapy settings.
