New to Grow
I am a biracial (Black/white), cisgender female who loves to create art, garden, and spend time with loved ones. My clinical approach is rooted in empathy and connection. I utilize evidenced-based practices such as person-centered therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness to support clients in feeling grounded, supported, and capable. I thoroughly enjoy my career and will do my best to help you reach a state of overall wellness and self-actualization.
Our first session will be client-led, I will actively listen to your concerns and hopes, and support you in identifying possible treatment goals. I also believe that our first session is an important step in fostering our relationship and increasing feelings of safety. I encourage my clients to ask questions to better understand my approach and determine what may work best for them.
I understand what it's like to feel misunderstood. My own personal experiences with trauma and mental illness have greatly informed my approach and my practice. I will provide you with transparency, unconditional care, and a safe therapeutic space to share your feelings.
I hope to support client's looking for stability and positive growth. Making that first step towards change can feel impossible, especially when we try to tackle it alone. While it may be hard to let someone in, the power of connection and community is undeniable. You are capable of growth and deserving of care. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I recognize the importance of social justice and the ways in which our environment and relationships affect our well-being. I have extensive experience working with clients dealing with symptoms of trauma, depression, and anxiety, as well as those undergoing life changes/transitions. I look forward to supporting you in feeling more grounded, connected, and understood.

What works for one client won't work for everyone. Your culture, identity, and beliefs are important and an integral part of our treatment plan together.
DBT provides us with tangible skills to manage intense emotions such as anger, guilt, shame, and anxiety. Practicing these skills together in session support a client's ability to regulate their emotions throughout their day-to-day lives.
Everyone is capable of growth, and client's are the experts of their own experiences. Together we will build a safe and comfortable therapeutic space in which you are able to lead the conversation and work on your chosen goals.
I have found that identifying and highlighting a person's inherent strengths is one of the first steps towards growth. Everyone has the tools, but may need support in finding ways to utilize them to positively affect outcomes.
I will draw from multiple therapeutic models such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems), etc., in order to suit each client's specific needs. I don't believe that there is a one size fits all approach to therapy and will work collaboratively with you to determine methods and practices that will support your overall goals.
