Hi! My name is Katie Magalnick, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters from Southern Connecticut State University and have been practicing for 6 years. I currently work for the State of Connecticut working with young adults who struggle with addiction and/or mental health issues. In this role, I help young adults navigate the hardships of everyday life while managing with a mental health disorder. My goal is to allow clients to be able to live each day a little bit easier. In doing so, I help young adults identify triggers, coping skills, as well as assist in developing healthy communication skills. *for new clients I keep Saturday/Sunday open on my calendar for intakes. I have week nights available for weekly sessions as well as weekends*

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then discuss goals you have for therapy. We will also discuss when the best days/times are for sessions. I am flexible!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I take pride in my ability to show my clients empathy, honesty, and consistency (also, humor!) In our work together, my hope is to provide a safe space for you. I look forward to helping you become the best version of yourself.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with young adults who are entering into college, navigating new jobs or struggling to identify what they would like to do in life. I believe these individuals often need the most guidance.
