The essence of psychotherapy is to cultivate a deeper self-awareness and to cultivate healthy behavioral changes that are in alignment with one's sense of values, purpose, and reason for being. The therapeutic relationship is a collaborative, co-creative process that focuses on your treatment goals. Individuals working with me can expect to take from therapy sessions a greater/grander perspective of themselves and their strengths, gifts and abilities. Individuals will learn skills and how to use tools that are in alignment with their treatment goals/intentions. Clients will be reminded of how great they are and how great they can be/become will caring for the clinically significant experiences/symptoms that brought them into treatment
I am trained in the application of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Child and Adolescent Trauma treatment.
I have extensive practice working with individuals (and families) that have clinically significant experiences/symptoms of anxiety, depressed mood, single-event as well as complex trauma, stressors rooted in social oppression/marginalization.
