New clients continue care with this provider

With over 20 years of experience as a Mental Health Counselor, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion and understanding. Whether it's anxiety, depression, trauma, medical issues, or infertility, I truly believe in the power of healing and growth, and I am honored to walk alongside others on their journey toward peace and well-being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will start with a brief introduction, and then dive into the concerns that brought you to therapy. We end the session with developing a plan to best assist your unique problems.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My clients often describe me as having a calming presence. I approach situations with logic and offer clear insights. I’m skilled at identifying the root causes of issues and addressing them effectively from there.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I’m truly passionate about supporting individuals who feel "stuck" due to challenges such as anxiety, depression, chronic illness, or trauma. This includes those who are healing from deeply painful experiences like sexual assault, human trafficking, childhood abuse, and intimate partner violence. I also have had the privilege of working with many people coping with infertility, chronic pain, or illness. As a cancer survivor, I have a deep understanding of the emotional and physical toll that chronic illness can take, and this personal journey has allowed me to connect on a deeper level with those facing similar struggles. My commitment is to walk alongside individuals as they navigate their challenges, offering resilience, compassion, and hope every step of the way.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I help clients accept their realities and help to use their values to motivate change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients identify their underlying irrational beliefs that are causing them stress. I help them work with these beliefs and reframe them.

EMDR

I have a certificate in EMDR, and I use it to treat anxiety and trauma.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Sometimes, people just need someone to listen to them and support them without a lot of intervention. In those situations, I used this treatment method.
