Ray Nguyen
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing collaborative, judgment-free care for adults with ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress, and burnout. My approach combines evidence-based treatment with practical strategies to help you feel supported and move forward. Please note: 1. I do not prescribe controlled substances, including stimulants (Adderall, Vyvanse) or benzodiazepines (Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin). When appropriate, I can coordinate care with other providers. 2. I do not complete FMLA or long-term disability paperwork. 3. After booking your appointment, please complete the intake forms before your visit so I can better understand your needs.
First session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and develop a clear understanding of what brings you to treatment. We'll discuss your current concerns, symptoms, personal history, lifestyle, and goals. I want to understand not only what is difficult right now, but also your strengths, values, and what you hope to gain from treatment. If medication may be helpful, we'll discuss options together, including potential benefits, risks, and alternatives. There is never pressure to start a medication. By the end of our session, you'll have a better understanding of your symptoms and a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the next steps.
Strengths
I balance empathy with practical guidance, taking time to understand your experiences while helping you identify realistic, actionable steps. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your individual needs, culture, and circumstances. Together, we’ll build insight, confidence, and sustainable strategies to help you manage symptoms and move toward your goals.
Ideal clients
I work best with adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or frustrated by challenges related to ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, or major life transitions. Many of my clients are students, healthcare professionals, educators, and working adults trying to balance the demands of school, work, relationships, and personal well-being. My ideal client is motivated to better understand themselves and is open to exploring practical strategies for change. They may be seeking medication management, therapy, or both, and appreciate a collaborative approach in which they are actively involved in treatment decisions. Together, we focus on building skills, improving daily functioning, and creating realistic goals that support long-term mental wellness.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
