With over 20 years of experience in counseling, I specialize in helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clarity, and purpose. My approach is eclectic and personalized, drawing from a variety of evidenced based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma, addiction/substance abuse, family and couples therapy, and motivational interviewing. I believe healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and supported in a safe space. I’ve had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life— autism, teens struggling with anxiety or identity, adults facing life transitions and challenges, and couples and families seeking connection and understanding. Whether someone is managing depression, struggling with addiction, recovering from trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I tailor each session to their unique goals and strengths. My clients often say they feel more empowered, grounded, and hopeful after our work together. I help them uncover patterns that no longer serve them, gain practical tools for change, and rebuild trust in themselves and others. Online counseling offers the flexibility and privacy many people need to take that first step toward healing. Whether you're reaching out for the first time or returning to therapy, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy and expertise. You don’t have to face this alone

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is all about getting to know each other and setting the foundation for a strong, trusting relationship. I know reaching out for therapy—especially that first step—can feel vulnerable, and I want you to know that I truly see and respect that. This isn’t just a job for me; I genuinely care about the people I work with and the stories they carry. In our first meeting, you can expect a relaxed, judgment free space where you are free to show up exactly as you are—no pressure to say the “right” thing or have your thoughts perfectly sorted out. I’ll take time to ask about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. We’ll go over your background, any important life experiences, and explore what’s been weighing on you. I may ask a few guiding questions, but there’s no rush—we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. This session isn’t about diving deep into all the hard stuff right away unless you want to. More than anything, it’s about connection. I want you to feel safe, supported, and heard—not analyzed. We'll also talk about how I work, what therapy might look like moving forward, and together we’ll start shaping some goals that are meaningful to you. I want my clients to feel like they’re sitting with someone real—someone who listens with empathy, challenges with care, and is committed to walking beside them through whatever they’re facing. The relationship we build is the heart of the work we’ll do together. Trust, honesty, and mutual respect are what make therapy effective and that starts from day one. By the end of the session, my hope is that you’ll leave feeling a little more grounded, a little more hopeful, and confident that you’re in the right place.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths lie in my ability to connect with people in a real and authentic way, and to meet them exactly where they are. With over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I have developed a strong foundation working with children, families, and individuals — particularly those facing behavioral challenges, autism, trauma, addiction, and a range of mental health concerns. I also have worked with 988/National Suicide Hotline for the past 4 years assisting with crisis calls. I bring an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from multiple modalities to best support each unique client. I founded the first autism summer camp in our area, served as a clinical supervisor, and continue to provide supervision for licensure. My training is extensive, particularly in trauma and addiction, and I specialize in helping people recognize and build on the strengths they already have. Whether I’m supporting a child, family, or adult, I bring a grounded, warm, and empowering presence to the work.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Through my experience as a Licensed Therapist, I’m best positioned to serve individuals, couples, and families who are ready to explore change, deepen self-awareness, and move toward emotional healing and growth. My ideal clients come from all walks of life, but they tend to share a desire for something more—whether that’s peace of mind, healthier relationships, emotional stability, or clarity during life transitions. I work especially well with individuals who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, addiction or stuck in cycles of self-doubt or over-functioning. Many of my clients have experienced trauma—either recently or in their past—and are learning how to cope with the lasting effects. Some are high-functioning on the outside but struggling silently on the inside. Others are navigating grief, burnout, family conflict, or identity-related concerns. I provide a nonjudgmental space for them to process their experiences, understand what’s beneath their emotional responses, and build tools to move forward. I also specialize in working with couples and families who are facing disconnection, communication breakdowns, life stressors, or unresolved conflict. These clients are often looking to rebuild trust, strengthen emotional bonds, navigate unexpected life challenges, or simply learn how to better understand and support one another. I help them identify the patterns that are keeping them stuck and guide them toward healthier ways of relating. My ideal clients are not expected to come into therapy with everything figured out—in fact, many begin feeling unsure, discouraged, or ambivalent about the process. What matters most is their willingness to be open, honest, and engaged, even if they're unsure of what change looks like yet. I value authenticity and meet my clients where they are, providing a balance of support and challenge to help them grow at their own pace. Therapy goals vary, but the people I work with often want to: Break free from anxious or negative thought patterns Heal from past trauma or difficult relationships Improve communication and connection with loved ones Set better boundaries and develop a stronger sense of self Navigate major life transitions such as divorce, parenting challenges, or career shifts Reduce emotional reactivity and learn healthier coping strategies Build confidence, resilience, and a deeper understanding of who they are
