Nadia Golino

LCSW5 years of experience

I’m a down-to-earth therapist who believes you deserve a space where you can feel safe, seen, and completely yourself. I approach each session with curiosity, respect, and genuine care, and when it feels right, I’m not afraid to bring in a little humor — because healing doesn’t always have to be heavy. My background comes from serving clients who are at their most vulnerable time of their lives, navigating through addiction and seeking recovery. Over the years, I have seen so many clients share their success in their treatment goals, and I know one day, you will too!

First session

Our first session is simply a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and any questions you may have. There’s no pressure to share everything at once — we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Strengths

I bring a calm, laid back, and grounded presence to sessions and create a space where clients feel truly heard and supported. I’m especially attuned to recovery from substance use, grief and loss, life transitions, past traumas, and the complexity of change, and I balance empathy with practical tools to help you move forward.

Ideal clients

I would work best with clients who are in recovery, seeking to create a balance in their life as they navigate being in recovery. I would also work best with clients who are motivated for change. I would like to assist clients who are struggling with past trauma/grief and loss that they have yet to process by using a different array of treatment modalities.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Identifying and shifting unhelpful thought patterns to support healthier emotions, behaviors, and day-to-day functioning.

EMDR

EMDR helps your brain reprocess painful experiences so they feel less overwhelming and no longer hold the same weight.

Grief Therapy

A supportive space to process loss, honor your loved one, and navigate grief at your own pace.

Motivational Interviewing

A collaborative approach that helps you explore mixed feelings about change and build motivation in a way that feels right for you.

Building skills to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and feel more grounded in your day-to-day life.
